Wet n Wild Megalash Clinical Serum and Mascara System

Another Wet n Wild product I picked up.  This time it's Megalash Clinical Serum and Mascara system.  This is a combo set that retails for around $6.99.  Included is a lash-lenghtening serum and lash-lenghtening mascara.


Wet n Wild claims longer, thicker, fuller lashes in just 4 weeks! Sounds greats, so I decided to try and test.  The instructions on the package are to apply the serum twice a day - morning and night.  After the serum is dry in the morning - apply the mascara.  The instructions are very vague on how to apply the serum, so I've been just applying to my upper lash line and some on my lashes.

I already have long lashes, but who doesn't want better?  Below are pictures of my natural lashes.  I have never tried any serums before.

Above photo is with 2 coats of the mascara.  I let the mascara dry in-between coats.

I am going to use the system exactly as directions state.  In about 4 weeks, I will take updated pictures and see how well this works. The mascara included in the system is not my favorite but I will continue to use it.  Stay tuned until then....

Nars Velvet Lip Gloss 'Club Mix' Duplicates!

A few weeks ago I posted on the Nars Velvet Lip Gloss Pencils ($24), and was sad to report there was no duplicate for my favorite shade, "Club Mix." I have been pining over that color ever since. Well, I am happy to admit that I stand corrected. I was in Sephora yesterday (I know, big surprise), and decided to play around with some of their lipsticks. Sephora Collection Lip Attitude-Star ($12), is somewhere in between a lipstick and a gloss. I tried on S12 (Plum Vertigo) and S11 (Audacious Violet). The Plum Vertigo is a dead-ringer for NARS Velvet Lip Gloss Pencil in Club Mix!!! Same consistency, same color, same shine--everything, but 1/2 the price! I'm pretty sure there was a Hallelujah chorus in the background, when I made this discovery.

Both of the Sephora colors shown above are stunning (they look far different than in the tube), and will look stunning on every skin tone. On a side note, the Audacious Violet by Sephora, looks very, very similar to the now sold-out, limited edition, Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Wild Violet. Easy, Sexy, Beach Hair with TIGI Bedhead Deep Waver

Have you heard the saying that the grass is always greener on the other side? I know most women always want what they don't have--especially when it comes to our hair. The TIGI Bedhead Deep Waver gives straight hair, loose, lush waves. A $30 way to have "sexy beach hair" for a day, in very little time--yes, please!

This is not your 80's hair crimper. It has larger, deeper, plates that you clamp down on your hair for a few seconds. Just start at the top and work your way down. Viola, hair that could have come from a Victoria's Secret photo shoot ;)

Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Review and Swatches

Whenever I think of Wet N Wild, it automtically reminds me of high school!  I used to wear the brand all the time and the price was on point for my low budget.  Although, I must admit - I have not used WNW since then. I saw this gorgeous palette they had and for about $2.99 - I HAD to give it a try.

The colors are so pretty!  The texture was creamy and blended well.  I love the sheen on these too. The colors lasted all day with no smudging.  Each shade is imprinted on where you should apply - brow bone, crease, and eyelid.

I followed the imprinted shadows and did the brown in the crease, pink on eyelid, and the white on my brow.  I love it, but next time I would go a little darker in my crease.  This is a beautiful palette and highly recommend.  The colors and formula of the eyeshadow are high quality at a low price tag - what more could a girl want?  :)
