Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows Swatches and Review

I finally caved and bought a few of the new-ish Armani Eyes to Kill Intense eyeshadows. These shadows are unlike anything you've ever tried before. They are said to give 24 hour wear that is crease proof, sweat proof, waterproof, and flake proof. They come in 13 beautiful, metallic shades, but cost $32, each.

I tried 4 different shades. #8 Champagne (shimmering champagne), #9 Rock Sand (a light, bronzy nude), #6 Khaki Pulse (golden khaki), #4 Pulp Fiction (multi-dimensional gunmetal grey). The texture is neither cream nor powder, it and has a "mousse-like" feel. I really like the amazing metallic sheen they provide, its a very easy way to achieve a sexy, smoky look. They did last all day, but with some flaking of the shimmer (my daughter thought I looked "like a sparkle fairy"). Not exactly the daytime look I was going for.

The first photo below is indoor, with flash.

Outdoor, sunlight, without flash.

Overall, I loved the colors and the ease of application, and the way they emphasized my eyes, but for the price, they could be better. I ended up keeping only #8, to use as a primer under my normal eyeshadows.

Wet n Wild Megalash Clinical Serum and Mascara System

Another Wet n Wild product I picked up.  This time it's Megalash Clinical Serum and Mascara system.  This is a combo set that retails for around $6.99.  Included is a lash-lenghtening serum and lash-lenghtening mascara.

Wet n Wild claims longer, thicker, fuller lashes in just 4 weeks! Sounds greats, so I decided to try and test.  The instructions on the package are to apply the serum twice a day - morning and night.  After the serum is dry in the morning - apply the mascara.  The instructions are very vague on how to apply the serum, so I've been just applying to my upper lash line and some on my lashes.

I already have long lashes, but who doesn't want better?  Below are pictures of my natural lashes.  I have never tried any serums before.

Above photo is with 2 coats of the mascara.  I let the mascara dry in-between coats.

I am going to use the system exactly as directions state.  In about 4 weeks, I will take updated pictures and see how well this works. The mascara included in the system is not my favorite but I will continue to use it.  Stay tuned until then....

Smashbox In Bloom Soft Focus Powder Eyeliner - Review and Swatches

I know this isn't a brand new product, but recently picked up Smashbox's In Bloom Soft Focus Eyeliner in Heather.  I was not originally sold on powder eyeliner, so I had to try it out.  Ask anyone (well Natasha) about my "complex" with eyeliners.  I never can put the liner close enough to my lashes; resulting in a gap between lashes and liner.  I was desperate until Natasha told me about Tarte's EmphasEYES liner, and I have only used that since.  The tiny tip allowed me to control where my liner was going and no more gap! Anyway, I wanted to try something different and came home with this!

Overall, I really liked!  I love the color and it applied smooth.  There was no smudging after wearing all day either.  I was surprised how close I could get to my lash line!  No gap!  The only thing I did not like about this was I had a little bit of fall out after applying, but easily came off.  Definitely recommend.
